There is nothing more rewarding than helping others. By planning ahead, you can leave a legacy that will improve the lives of future generations of persons with vision loss through the ongoing low vision rehabilitation services offered by Spectrios. Any individual who has included Spectrios Institute for Low Vision in their planned giving becomes a member of The Visionaries.

Planned gifts may include the following:

Bequests — Including Spectrios Institute for Low Vision in this type of giving allows for many giving options. You can bequeath a specific dollar amount or assets or you may bequeath a percentage of the sale of assets.

When updating your will, consult your estate-planning attorney.

Gift Annuity — Annuities can provide the donor with usable income and sizable tax savings.

Life Insurance or IRA — You can make Spectrios Institute for Low Vision a beneficiary of a current and paid-up insurance policy that you may no longer need. If you are leaving the proceeds of an insurance policy or IRA assets to Spectrios Institute, be sure to indicate this on the beneficiary form and note it in your will.

Retirement Options — Spectrios Institute for Low Vision can be designated as beneficiary of retirement plan assets such as profit sharing, 401(K), and 403 (B) as well as other retirement plans.

Trusts — Giving a Charitable Remainder Lead Trust will allow the donor to enjoy tax benefits and income and still benefit Spectrios Institute for Low Vision.

Contact your financial planner or attorney to discuss the best way of benefitting Spectrios and helping us continue our low vision services. Your gift to our low vision center is a great way to leave behind a legacy of giving.
