My father often told me… “It’s not my job to tell you the popular answer, it’s my job to tell you the right answer.”  After much consideration, our Staff and Board Members have decided to cancel the 250-person gathering at our Gala on April 25th.

That was painful! Painful to our mission because we typically raise $100k necessary funds to meet the needs of hundreds of children and adults with vision loss. Yes, this means a $100k hole in our 2020 Budget. Ouch!

The Roaring 20/20s Partners in Vision Gala cannot happen because there is a more important issue at stake, namely the safety and welfare of our Spectrios family of supporters.  Make no mistake, if you are reading this right now we consider you part of our family.  We will always be concerned about our family of supporters.  Our family is the reason why we help so many people in need. Our mission is because of our family support. We have been blessed by a supportive loving family for the past 34 years.

The COVID-19 pandemic is upon us and uncertain turbulent times have paralyzed our healthy giving way of life. Fear and panic have overwhelmed many people. We at Spectrios are always hopeful!

Our Mission continues and we intend to give all we can to move our programs forward, helping people.

We listen to governmental guidelines and act to improve any situation we can.

We will show leadership and kindness.

We will protect our staff and help patients that are in despair.

We will maintain a healthy balance of “healthy staff serving healthy patients.”

We will always be there.
