Transition Talks
Are you a high school student with low vision?
Join us in person on June 19, 2026 to connect with peers and gain confidence as you prepare for life after high school.
This program is designed for 10th–12th graders and first-year college students (ages 14–19) who want to explore tools and strategies to live more independently.
Learn about:
- Low vision apps and tech tools
- Cooking tips and hacks
- Transportation strategies
- Self-advocacy skills
And, much more to help you thrive after high school!
About The Host
Spectrios Institute for Low Vision, formerly Deicke Center for Visual Rehabilitation, is a unique organization providing a comprehensive visual rehabilitation program that includes low vision evaluation, counseling, and instruction of daily living skills and technology use.
We empower children and adults with vision loss, regardless of income, to optimize their visual capabilities and independence using prescriptive tools, technology, rehabilitative training, and inspiration. We strive to educate every person with vision loss.
