Celebrate Resilience

When we learned our patient Sylvia, who lives just down the street from our clinic, was turning 103 years young, we couldn’t let the day go by without celebrating. Spectrios staff paid her a special visit to wish her a happy birthday, because at Spectrios, we believe in going the extra mile for our patients.

Sylvia’s story is one of resilience and independence, and she’s not alone. How blessed we are to meet and provide care for many centenarians who inspire us with their vitality and determination to live full lives.

"Wishing YOU happiness, joy, good health and prosperity, but also… PURPOSE!!! PURPOSE keeps you LIVING!!! So, spend time talking with people, help others, share and serve, smile and laugh, take care of yourself, and keep moving! …And YOU just might live to be a Centenarian!!! Happy Holidays!"

That’s the heart of our mission at Spectrios Institute for Low Vision: empowering individuals with low vision to lead full, productive lives. Through personalized strategies and support, we help patients with vision loss navigate daily activities with confidence and ease.

With our comprehensive “head, heart, and eye” approach, we address every aspect of how vision loss impacts a person’s life. From offering tools and resources to improving participation in meaningful activities like reading, cooking, or enjoying hobbies, we ensure our patients—like Sylvia—continue to thrive on their terms.

This Giving Tuesday, YOU can be part of this life-changing work. Your donation allows us to provide the same level of personalized care to patients of all ages, helping them overcome vision challenges and embrace life with independence and joy. By giving, you help us honor the remarkable journeys of centenarians like Sylvia and all our patients, ensuring we can continue our mission of care and empowerment.

Together, we can ensure that children and adults with vision loss have the tools they need to thrive.
