Chicago White Sox Broadcast Duo, Len Kasper & Darrin Jackson Host The Spectrios 40th Anniversary Golf Classic

Chicago White Sox broadcast duo, Len Kasper and Darrin Jackson, will host the Spectrios 40th Anniversary Golf Classic on September 21, 2026 at the Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn, IL. The Golf Classic is an annual fundraiser for Spectrios Institute. Funds raised during the event support life-changing low vision care for children and adults with vision loss.

Len Kasper and Darrin Jackson are familiar voices for White Sox fans tuning into ESPN Radio Chicago. Kasper has been offering play-by-play commentary for the White Sox since 2021. He joined Jackson, a long-time radio color analyst who is currently in his 26th season offering expert analysis for White Sox fans.

Before joining the Jackson on the Chicago White Sox Radio Network, Kasper previously worked with Bob Brenly and Jim Deshaies on Chicago Cubs telecasts. Kasper won the Harry Caray Sportscaster of the Year Award in 2011.

Darrin Jackson started his career as a Major League Baseball center fielder, playing for the Chicago Cubs for 12 years followed by stints with the San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers and a year playing for the Seibu Lions in the Japanese Pacific League. In the booth, Jackson worked alongside legendary Sox broadcaster, Ed Farmer and Ken “Hawk” Harelson providing color commentary for the White Sox.

Both men have already helped raise thousands for many important charities. Now they are supporting Spectrios Institute for Low Vision as hosts of the Spectrios 40th Anniversary Golf Classic- a well known annual event combining Chicago sports legends and golfing for a good cause.

Spectrios Institute is located at the Deicke House of Hope in Wheaton, IL and is dedicated to helping individuals with low vision lead full, productive lives. Through a comprehensive rehabilitative program, Spectrios offers a full spectrum of care and low vision services to impacted individuals, regardless of income.

All proceeds from the Spectrios 40th Anniversary Golf Classic support the life-changing work and keep vital low vision services accessible to those in need. Tickets for the Golf Classic are currently available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
